Almond Butter

As part of eating paleo, I’ve come across a huge amount of variations for things that I love. One of which is peanut butter! Almond butter is healthier and contains more beneficial properties (hello Vitamin E and glowing skin!). Thats all the convincing I needed to give it a shot, and I have to say, I’m never turning back. I could eat this for breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert AND as a snack, I love it that much! Currently I add it to my breakfast smoothie as a nice hit of protein.

Almond Butter & Homemade Nutella.

Ingredients
500gms roasted almonds
Pinch of salt
(seriously thats all you need)

1) Grind the almonds in a food processor or heavy duty blender (like a Blendtec or Vitamix) until it processes into a butter. In a processor this can take up to 10-15 minutes. You’ll have to occasionally stop to scrape the almonds from the sides. Process until smooth, add your salt and processes for another 2-3 minutes after that.

2) Eat.
